A New Mexico police officer tased a 10-year-old boy, after the kid wouldn’t clean the cop’s patrol car.
Officer Christopher Webb was speaking at an elementary school career day event, and had asked the boy to clean the car as show of thanks. The boy declined, and Webb hit him with 50,000 volts.
“Let me show you what happens to people who do not listen to the police,” said Webb.
Webb — who was placed on suspension — says he didn’t realize the Taser was charged. The boy’s parents, meanwhile, say the cop’s lack of judgment won’t stop them from suing him… and the Department of Public Safety.
