Going Postal

News: Beginning this summer, the U.S. Postal Service will stop delivering Saturday mail. Officials say the move will save the cash-strapped agency nearly $2 billion a year.

Comment: You might as well throw the towel in, friends. The few of us who stuck with you through yearly stamp price hikes and your rude workers have had enough. Your shameful “cost-cutting measure” means people have one less day to get their bills in on time, and one less day to get cards and gifts to loved ones.

The only ones who benefit from this are the shipping companies. I’m sure they’ll be more than happy to offer even lower levels of customer service, now that they know the public has no other choice.

  1. “There are other ways to save money. They should have just gone ahead and raised the price of a stamp to $1, instead of this two cents a year crap. Also, when I go to the PO on a Saturday, I see one person behind the counter, and seven just hanging around. That’s a bunch of BS, if you ask me.”
