News: A new clothing line from Victoria’s Secret has come under fire. Though the clothes are marketed toward college-aged women, some parents think ‘Bright Young Things’ is targeting preteens.
Comment: I’ve seen enough headlines missing the point. Just because you ‘think’ something is targeting your skank ‘tween, doesn’t mean it is. I could say the donut shop down the block is targeting me because I’m fat. But you know what? I don’t have to eat there! I have a choice.
Most of the ire is directed at the ‘playful’ messages printed on the underwear. If you’re afraid that someone will see your preteen daughter’s underwear and start to have perverted thoughts, you should first ask why the hell they’re able to see her undies in the first place! Don’t blame the store, blame your slut kid.
Finally, why is this suddenly becoming a huge issue? Have you seen some of the clothes these tramps wear outside?! Parents don’t seem to have a problem letting their little princesses skip out of the house wearing belly shirts and booty shorts. So let’s stop the hypocrisy, shall we?
