When you’ve got an outstanding warrant, it’s best not to draw attention to yourself.
That’s advice 20-year-old Jesean Morris decided to ignore when he posted an “Ice Bucket Challenge” video to Facebook.
The Ice Bucket Challenge is a charity fundraiser for ALS (also known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease), where participants are ‘nominated’ to douse themselves with ice water, and also donate to the charity.
In this case, a “friend” reported Morris’ video to police, after learning he was on parole from assault charges.
Police stopped Morris shortly afterward as he tried to flee the home. That’s when the charitable-minded ex-con then racked up a wealth of new charges, including assaulting an officer, criminal mischief, resisting arrest, and criminal impersonation.
He’s now cooling his heels in jail.
