News: NFL officials have “toughened” sanctions. Under new rules, any NFL employee — not just players — charged with domestic violence and/or sexual assault will be suspended for six games for the first offense, and one-year for second offenses.
Comment: And what happens when they kill their victim? Do they get “punished” with paid administrative leave?!
The kid gloves are still very much on as they pertain to how the NFL views domestic violence. First-time offenders should lose their jobs… permanently. That would send the message that assault of any kind is unacceptable.
Instead, these new “rules” are nothing more than a thinly-veiled publicity stunt of a League whose bottom line has been and remains cold, hard cash.
