News: Some city bus drivers in Orlando, Florida have come under fire for doing personal errands on company time. The drivers are accused of stopping the buses — full of passengers — to get food and use public restrooms. Drivers contend the unscheduled stops are necessary, since they are often forced to go six to eight hours without a break.
Comment: That’s horseshit. The law requires employers to give breaks, even if you’re a driver. If that means you only get to step outside for a few minutes at every other stop, then so be it.
You chose the job, not the other way around. I’m so tired of people trying to screw the system. If these lazy union lackies don’t like the work environment, show them the door and let someone who’s been on the unemployment line for months come in and do a better job than they’ve ever done.
