News: Details have emerged in the case of a British teen who was mauled to death by a polar bear during a 2011 Arctic expedition. Officials say the animal pulled the teen from a tent and killed him.
Comment: It is, of course, terribly sad that this happened. At the same time, this scenario should have never played out in the first place.
Humans have no business trudging through the last few places where animals reign supreme. Perhaps the attack was a revenge killing.
Next will come the calls to kill all polar bears, or set up some sort of gun patrol during Arctic expeditions, when the real solution is to immediately cease these selfish voyages.
