It’s as easy as stealing candy from a baby. Or in this case, onions from a group of 10-year-olds.
Police in Waterville, Maine say someone stole more than 100 onions from an elementary school garden there. Some of the veggies were bound for a local homeless shelter. Others were planned for use in school lunches.
But instead of learning about the benefits of healthy eating and helping the less fortunate, students say the theft is “kind of depressing.”
